I’m out at Sandymount strand nearly every day now and usually meet the Heron searching for his dinner. For what looks like such a small compact bird, he is really impressive when in flight. The wings expand far beyond what you would imagine and he picks up speed quickly. Much too fast for out little dog to keep up!
